Aha!

Don't you hate when you are half way through a project and in the middle of the night an "AHA" comes to you?  As I was working on the calendar (I'm on August) I got to thinking that I was going through a boat load of cardstock.  My plan was to adhere the pages back to back with a piece of cardstock in between to bind the calendar together.  Back to back, hmmmm, there are two sides to each piece of cardstock, hmmmm, why not use both sides and save a piece of cardstock?!!!!!  So, I am going to try and convert one of the 4 calendars to this model for the workshop which will reduce the per person cost.

Hopefully I'll be done with the whole thing this week so by the time the workshop is done everyone can use at least half the month of January!

Me and Samson

My beautiful Samson decided he'd rather lay down than get his picture taken with me!

laying down seems to be a preferred pose for him!

Sadie shows Samson how to do a pretty pose!  With her Christmas loot of course...

Then there's Stella - she won't sit still for even a second!  Even after a trying day at the vet yesterday..

From our house to yours - A Very Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas one and all!

I hope everyone has had a blessed Christmas.  Ours has been filled with friends and family and gets better with each passing moment!  Santa has once again out done himself making me feel even more the princess!

Feb - March

Here are the other months that are done.  February has a pocket to keep your valentines in!  Happened purely by accident...

Stay tuned for the next installment!

Still Working

So, things have gotten even crazier around here and I'm still on May!  Thought I'd share a few pictures of what has been completed.

(Kind of funny that I balanced the board on the bar - Fitting for New Years right?!

Well, I'm up to the month of April on the 2010 calendar.  Slow going since I'm making 4 of them for presents.  Fingers are crossed that I get them done in time for Christmas!

Club Weekend

I'm so excited this club weekend!  Looking forward to a marathon crop to get 2010 calendars done for Christmas presents (I've only done January - Oh no!).  I finally get to play with the new papers and embellishments.  Since I'm under the gun to get the whole year done in one weekend I won't be able to do all the detail I normally do, but I'll try not to disappoint.  I'll post instructions and pics as I can.  I'm also dying to make the paint can gift sets I saw online but...where does the time go?!

Enjoy your day friends!

December Calendar

I can't believe this is the final calendar of the year!  Where did 2009 go to?  Oh well, I'm looking forward to a fantastic 2010...

Since we used Jingle for our club pages and card workshop I wanted to go more traditional for the calendar.  I saw a BoBunny ad with the large parenthesis and had to try it.  Since the snowflakes they used in their layout didn't work with my color choices I decided to try making a wreath.  This presented some new challenges!  I hope you like the results.  Be sure to view all the photos since I've put the instruction download link at the end.

Jingle Club Pages

I love this paper pack in spite of  having pinks instead of reds.  It's so bright and cheery I get happy just looking at it!

I used a combination of the glitter rub-ons and regular loose glitter.  Discovered that your options are limitless with a Write and Rub pen and a glitter sheet.  Not to mention not nearly as messy!

I will be adding the December calendar to the cutting diagram as soon as I get it done.  Hopefully by the end of the week.

The Dimensional Element stars are from the Flurry set.  I will be using the snowflakes from this set in January.  DE Fresh shapes has stars that would work just as well.

I also had to try the glitter beads I found for $1.99 at Michaels.  Made a mess wtih them so they only play a small part on one page.  When time allows I want to play with it some more since it adds a new texture to the page.

January 2009 Aspen pages

Ok, so I said I'd get past pages posted.  Since I haven't been able to get anything new done I thought I'd get started!

Here are the very first club pages from last January.  Love doing the snow globe and am thinking we need to try it again!

I know that I scraplifted ideas from the Bulletin Boards but since it's been a while ago I do not remember the who and what.   So a huge thank you to all Board posters!

Grace Correction

Only one mistake - not bad for me!  I did a typo on the large flower B&T.  It is marked "C 4 1/2 x 1 1/2" and it should be "C 4 1/2 x 2 1/2"  Click here to download the full corrected diagram.

November Calendar Instructions

Sometimes it feels like it takes forever to complete things!  Of course getting side tracked by moving my scrap room doesn't help...My dear sweet husband let me trade him the spare bedroom in the back of the house for his beloved "man room" in the front of the house.  I have natural light now!  Anyway, I'm off track.  Here finally is the instructions for the November Calendar pages.
Days of the week ; Instructions

I will have November Club pages instructions and cutting diagram posted by tomorrow afternoon.  Of course if I get a wild hair to paint my new room it may be delayed a little :)

A good night to all!

Cutting Diagrams and Instructions

As I was working on the November cutting diagrams and instructions last night I realized that I needed to post a a disclaimer to all who may want to download them.

Watch for mistakes!
Yes, I know it's hard to believe, I make mistakes.  Usually the mistakes are fairly minor as I save the doozies for special occasions!  I try to get them corrected quickly and repost them.  All my wonderful friends in our club are very patient with me and I hope you will be too!

On another note.  If you would like to have immediate access to the downloads I post, send me your email.  I will sign you up as a "Collaborator" in box.net.  You will then have all the Scrapbook downloads added to your file and an email will be sent to you as soon as I post something.  Check out http://www.box.net/ to see if this is something you'd like to do and then send me your email and I'll sign you up.

I hope everyone has a super fantastic Tuesday!

First Post

Well, here's to keeping up with technology. I wanted to start a site to share templates, photos, and ideas with all my fellow scrapbook enthusiasts. I hope everyone will keep in mind that this will be an ongoing learning experience for me - some things may work, some won't! Feedback, suggestions, and constructive criticism are all welcome!

Once I have past projects posted my plan is to have each month's club project, workshops, and new techniques/discoveries up in a timely manner. Wish me luck!
